The Azerbaijan Shooting Championship was held at the Baku Shooting Center under the joint organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.
Idman.biz reports that more than 100 athletes from different regions of the country and representing different sports clubs competed in both individual and mixed team competitions.
Ruslan Lunyev, who secured the license for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games, won the title of champion in all 3 distances he crossed in front of the target. The European Champion Nigar Nasibova also ranked on the top of the podium. Also, the team members made a confident impact in the competition.
After the final stage, which took place in tense conditions, the athletes who won the Championship were awarded with medals and diplomas.
After the awarding ceremony, taking into account the number of medals for the highest results, money awards were presented to athletes, judges and other specialists who participated in the process of successfully holding the Championship.
It should be noted that the competition was organized with the aim of identifying strong shooters, promoting and popularizing shooting sports, and increasing the interest of young people in this sport.
