The Azerbaijan Championship in rowing, kayaking, and canoeing will be held on September 2–3, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation.
Over 100 athletes from Baku and Mingachevir will compete at the event, which will take place at the “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, Idman.biz reports.
In the national championship, rowers will compete in single and double boats in rowing and kayaking, and in single boats in canoeing.
The Azerbaijan Championship serves as a test and preparation event for the 3rd CIS Games, scheduled for September–October. Additionally, the top-performing rowers in the tournament will participate in the CIS Games.
