Azerbaijani rowers win 14 medals at International Regatta in Kazakhstan

Azerbaijani athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the international kayak and canoe regatta held in Uralsk, Kazakhstan, dedicated to June 1 – International Day for Protection of Children.

Team Azerbaijan clinched a total of 14 medals including 3 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze, Idman.biz reports.

Ivan Vorobyanski dominated in the single kayak (K1) category, winning gold medals in both the 200m and 500m races.

Other notable results include Elmir Tarverdiyev, silver in 200m (K1), and Mustafa Valizada, bronze in 500m (K1).

In the double kayak (K2) 500m, Vorobyanski teamed up with Vacib Babayev to take gold, while Valizada and Tarverdiyev secured silver.

Vorobyanskiy also claimed bronze with a Russian teammate.
In the 200m K2 event:

Babayev and Nuran Rahimli – bronze

In the canoe (C1 and C2) events, Huseyn Samedli medaled in three categories: Bronze in 200m (C1), Silver in 200m (C2), and Bronze in 500m (C2).
