Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games continue.
Idman.biz reports that on August 9, seven more athletes of the Azerbaijan national team joined the competition, and one of them finished his fight.
The Azerbaijan team went to the French capital with a total of 48 athletes and was represented in 17 programs of 15 types.
46 of our athletes have already started the Olympics. Five of them won awards in Paris. Judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg), Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg) won gold, boxer Loren Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg), taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov (58 kg) won silver, Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) won bronze. Freestyle wrestler Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) will fight for the 3rd place.
In total, 40 national members said goodbye to Paris 2024. In rhythmic gymnastics, Giorgi Meshvildishvili continues to fight for group movements. Two of our freestyle wrestlers will start the Olympics on August 10.
