Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Azerbaijani athletes and their coaches who successfully represented Azerbaijan in Continental and World Championships and prestigious international competitions.
Idman.biz reports that the meeting organized at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports started with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.
Greeting the athletes, Minister Farid Gayibov congratulated them for successfully representing Azerbaijan in international arenas and wished them new successes. Later, a video showing the successes achieved in international competitions during the month was shown.
Representatives of MMA, belt wrestling, sambo, beach volleyball, tumbling, aerobic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, wushu, parataekwondo, paralympic shooting, parajudo, sumo, chess, capoeira, taekwondo, muay thai, karate informed about victories in the competitions.
Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva and head of the Ministry's Sports Department Elnur Mammadov also participated in the meeting.
