The World Martial Arts Games have started in Saudi Arabia.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani karate player Huseyn Mammadli has successfully advanced to the finals.
The representative of Azerbaijan, fighting in the weight of 67 kg, successively won against the athletes of Spain, Egypt and the host country.
Mammadli's opponent in the final was another Egyptian, Ahmed Lotfi. Huseyn, who lost to his opponent 2:3, won the silver medal.
It should be noted that Mammadli was the only Azerbaijani athlete in this category at the World Martial Arts Games.
