A jiu-jitsu tournament dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth has been held, organized by the Azerbaijan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club Public Union.
Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports that nearly 200 children, teenagers, and young athletes from Baku and various regions of the country competed in the tournament. Participants showcased their skills in both Gi and No-Gi disciplines across different age and weight categories.
In the team rankings, the Surakhani Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team claimed first place, followed by the Baku Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in second, and the Akbar Hadiyev Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team in third.
