Turkan settlement hosted the sports complex's inaugural ceremony.
According to Idman.biz, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, his deputy Mariana Vasileva, MM deputy Rauf Aliyev, and ministry representatives were present at the event.
At the event, compositions and dances consisting of various gymnastics movements were shown.
The Turkan gym was built by the order of the Ministry of Youth and Sports according to the "State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of Baku City and its Settlements" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The area of the hall is 0.51 hectares, the under-construction area of the building is 1135 m2, the total area is 2360 m2, the total area of auxiliary and technical buildings is 230 m2. In the building of the sports hall, there is a universal gym with 100 seats for competitions and trainings, facilities for wrestling, judo, karate, boxing, gym, aerobics.
At the same time, dressing rooms, showers, administrative and auxiliary rooms are organized in the building. The gym is equipped with necessary sports equipment and other inventory. An open-air playground equipped with sports equipment and a ground-type chess game area have been installed in the area.
