On October 21, the World Karate Championship will start in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
The Azerbaijani national team will also participate in the competition, Idman.biz reports.
Azerbaijan will compete with 18 karatekas in the World Cup. Aminagha Guliyev (60 kg), Tural Aghalarzade (67 kg), Farid Aghayev (75 kg), Turgut Hasanov (84 kg), Asiman Gurbanli (+84 kg), Fidan Teymurova (50 kg), Madina Sadigova (55 kg), Renata Arabli (61 kg) and Irina Zaretska (68 kg) will represent Azerbaijan in the kumite competitions
In the men's team competitions, Firdovsi Farzaliyev, Rafiz Hasanov (both 67 kg) and Murad Hajizade (+84 kg) will join the team. In the struggle of female karateka, the representatives will fight in individual competitions.
Roman Heydarov will represent Azerbaijan in kata.
Azerbaijan will also be represented in parakarate. The coaching staff will give a chance to Nihat Mammadzada, Eldar Ahmadov, Emilia Mitlinova, Khaligov Vidadi and Ariana Mitlinova in the competition.
It should be noted that the 26th World Championship will end on October 29.
