Karate fighters started fighting in the European Universities Games held in Hungary.
As per Idman.biz's correspondent sent to Miskolc, the teams of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports (ASAPES) are also trying their hand in the fight between men and women.
Men
ASAPES consisting of Farid Sayadov, Ramil Bakhshaliyev, Nijat Karimli, Vahid Hasanov and Osman Osmanli, played against Istanbul Kent University in their first match. Azerbaijani fighters defeated the Turkiye representative with a score of 3:0 and qualified for the final. The decisive battle will take place on July 18.
Women
Team consisting of Aysu Aliyeva, Renata Arabli and Fatima Jabrayilova is exempt from the first round. Azerbaijan’s karate players will face the strongest of the National University of Physical Education and Sports (Romania) - Dresden Technical University (Germany).
