Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov has been elected as a member of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Athletes’ Commission.
During the Judo World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, athletes voted to elect their representatives to the IJF Athletes’ Commission, Idman.biz reports.
As a result of the elections, five members were chosen by the athletes' vote, while four were appointed by the IJF Executive Committee. The new commission will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
It is a source of pride that Olympic, World, and four-time European champion Hidayat Heydarov was selected as a member of the Athletes’ Commission by decision of the IJF Executive Committee.
