Ten judokas have been selected to represent Azerbaijan at the upcoming World Mixed Team Judo Championships.
The team event will take place on June 20, just one day after the individual competitions conclude, Idman.biz reports.
The Azerbaijani roster includes:
Hidayat Heydarov and Rashid Mammadaliyev (both -73 kg)
Eljan Hajiyev and Vugar Talibov (both -90 kg)
Zelym Kotsoiev and Ushangi Kokauri (both +90 kg)
Gultaj Mammadaliyeva and Fidan Alizade (both -57 kg)
Aytaj Gardashkhanli (-70 kg)
Nigar Suleymanova (+70 kg)
Notably, Eljan Hajiyev recently earned a bronze medal at the individual World Championships.
Azerbaijan will face Germany in the Round of 16.
