AMADA Organizes Anti-Doping Awareness Program at World Judo Championships in Baku

The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has organized an educational program during the 2026 World Judo Championships in Baku to raise awareness about clean sport and anti-doping regulations.

As reported by İdman.Biz, citing AMADA, the initiative took place at the National Gymnastics Arena, where the world championships are being held.

Visitors to AMADA's Clean Sport Corner received detailed information about anti-doping rule violations, athletes' rights and responsibilities, as well as the new World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, which are scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2027.

The program also highlighted the harmful effects of doping and narcotic substances on athletes' health and professional careers.

As part of the initiative, visitors participated in interactive quizzes designed to test their knowledge of anti-doping regulations and clean sport principles. Winners received commemorative gifts.

The educational activities aimed to promote fair competition, encourage responsible behavior among athletes and raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining integrity in sport.

The World Judo Championships are taking place in Baku from October 4 to 11, bringing together leading judokas from around the world.
