The Open Oceania Judo Tournament in Perth, Australia has ended.
Idman.biz reports that on the last day of the competition, 2 more athletes of the Azerbaijan national team joined the fight. Among them, Murad Fatiyev won all his matches and won the gold medal.

Murad Fatiyev met Gustavo Assis (Brazil) in his first match and won. He then defeated Sami Chouchi (Belgium) and advanced to the semi-finals. Fatiyev won over Jamal Petgrave (Great Britain) at this stage. He wrestled with Estonian Kristofer Kaljulaid in the final. Azerbaijan's judoka continued his successful series in the decisive stage and won the victory and climbed to the top of the podium.
Unlike him, Eljan Hajiyev was defeated by Louis Gagnon Krieber (Canada) in his first fight.
It should be noted that on the first day of the competition, Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg) won a bronze medal as part of the Azerbaijan national team.
