Young judokas are on their way to the World Championship

The national team of young boys and girls of Azerbaijan will participate in the World Championship to be held in Odivelas, Portugal on October 4-8.

Idman.biz informs that the national team of Azerbaijan will be represented in the tournament by 8 male and 7 female judokas in 11 weight categories.

Advisor to the president of Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) Natig Bagirov and general secretary Rashad Rasullu visited the training camp of the national teams and were interested in the training of the athletes and wished the judokas success in the competition.

The judokas will be led by the head coach of the youth team Elkhan Mammadov, the coach of the youth team Elkhan Rajabli, the head coach of the women's team Rashad Mammadov and the coach of the young girls' team Vugar Huseynov. In the boys' team, Nizami Imranov (60 kg), Aydin Rzayev (66 kg), Suleyman Aliyev (73 kg), Vusal Qalandarzade (73 kg), Omar Rajabli (81 kg), Vugar Talibov (90 kg), Ismayil Zamanov (90 kg) , Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) took place. Kanan Nasibov will join the fight in the team competition.

In the girls' competition, Azerbaijan will be represented by Konul Aliyeva (48 kg), Aydan Valiyeva (52 kg), Khadija Gadashova (52 kg), Fidan Alizade (57 kg), Narmin Amirli (78 kg), Nigar Suleymanova (78 kg). Parvana Abdullayeva will join the fight in the team competition.

Individual competitions will be held on October 4-7, and team competitions will be held on the last day of the Championship.

It should be noted that Nazim Umbayev, AJF category "A" international judge, will be among the representatives of justice in the competition.
