The Azerbaijani judokas, who won a silver medal at the Paris Grand Slam tournament, improved their position in the world ranking.
Idman.biz reports that the International Judo Union announced today the new ranking table after the tournament in France.
Zelim Tckaev, who was second in the 81 kg category, advanced 3 places. He ranks 9th. Another silver medalist of the team, Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg), improved his position by 13 places. Azerbaijani judoka is 31st.
Hidayat Heydarov, the leader of the Azerbaijani team (73 kg), leads the world ranking of his weight. Another member of the team, Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg), took the 2nd place in the table.
It should be noted that Zelim Tckaev and Eljan Hajiyev lost in the final at the Paris Grand Slam and became second.
