The Azerbaijani national team has won two more medals at the World Veterans Judo Championship held in Paris, France.
According to Idman.Biz, in the M5 age category, Movlud Miraliyev (100 kg) defeated all his opponents to claim the gold medal. The veteran judoka beat Brazilian Joao Santos in the final, becoming a three-time world champion.
In the M6 age category, Azar Asgerov (100 kg) earned the bronze medal. He defeated Frenchman Thierry Lefevre in the match for third place.
With one gold and four bronze medals, Azerbaijan currently ranks 12th in the team standings among 65 countries.
Earlier, Qurban Mammadli (M2, +100 kg), Vugar Babayev (M3, 66 kg), and Zaur Baghirov (M4, +100 kg) had also won bronze medals at the championship.
