Azerbaijan’s medal tally has reached three at the World Veterans Judo Championship taking place in Paris, France.
According to Idman.Biz, the Azerbaijan Judo Federation reported that Vugar Babayev (66 kg, M3 age category) and Zaur Baghirov (+100 kg, M4 category) each won bronze medals. In their third-place bouts, they defeated French judokas Eric Schillewaert and Cedric Deguzeni, respectively.
It should be noted that on the opening day of the tournament, Gurban Mammadli (M2, +100 kg) also secured a bronze medal.
