Bernie Parent, the legendary NHL goalie and former member of the Philadelphia Flyers, has passed away at the age of 80.
According to Idman.biz, the news was announced by the press service of the Philadelphia club.
During his career, Parent won the Stanley Cup twice and was named the most valuable player of the playoffs in both seasons.
He also played for the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. Parent received the Vezina Trophy in 1974 and 1975.
