A remarkable guest was spotted in the stands during the KHL regular-season match between Ak Bars and Neftekhimik (3:1) — a 99-year-old supporter of the Kazan club.
As reported by Idman.Biz, the information was shared by the Ak Bars fan club on its official Telegram channel.
The devoted fan, whose name is Khubayba Bayazitova, has been supporting Ak Bars for 10 years, carefully following every match. Her favourite player is club legend Danis Zaripov. It is noted that Bayazitova will celebrate her 100th birthday on December 17.
“We thank our supporter for her dedication and wish her strong health,” the statement on the fan club's page “Oskal” said.
Another interesting detail is that the fan is 30 years older than the club itself — Ak Bars was founded in 1956.
