Marian Kolev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national team in aerobics, said this in his statement to Idman.biz.
Azerbaijan team won two medals. Maryam Topchubashova won a bronze medal in the individual competition, and the team consisting of Maryam Topchubashova, Sara Alikhanli, Fidan Ibrahimova, Leyla Ahmadova and Evelina Kozlovskaya won a silver medal in the group competition.
Kolev noted that there were some concerns about the performance of the team before the start: "Fidan Ibrahimova injured her leg before the tournament. However, he won a silver medal as part of the group. At the gymnasium, our kind of athletes who reached the age of 17 performed more often. Our girls are still 15 years old. Only one of our gymnasts will compete in the senior age group. During the current season, we tested the juniors who spent their first season in this age category. However, the group won several international competitions. The girls did well in Bahrain and I'm glad the team won two awards."
