Araz-Nakhchivan, which will represent Azerbaijan in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, has strengthened its squad with a Brazilian player.
This was stated to Report news agency by the club’s vice-president, Mahmud Sadigov, Idman.biz reports.
The club has signed a one-year contract with Longo Duarte Baptista. The 29-year-old futsal player was transferred from Belgium’s Anderlecht.
The team, coached by Yevgeny Kuksevich, will represent Azerbaijan in the UEFA Champions League. The team will face Ljuti (Austria), PYF (Scotland), and Sparta (Northern Ireland) in Group F.
Matches in this group will take place in Austria from August 26 to 31.
