Azerbaijan has increased its UEFA coefficient points following Qarabag’s stunning victory over Benfica in the Champions League group stage.
The Azerbaijani champions defeated the Portuguese side 3-2, earning the country an additional 0.500 points, Idman.biz reports.
As a result, Azerbaijan’s total points have risen to 21.500, surpassing Slovakia by 0.125 points and claiming the 25th position in the UEFA rankings.
England continues to lead the rankings with 95.450 points. This historic win not only elevates Azerbaijan’s standing in Europe but also marks the country’s first Champions League group stage victory.
