The company “Astana Motors” gifted a car to Kairat club’s head coach Rafael Urazbakhtin for qualifying for the group stage of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
The 46-year-old Kazakh coach has been leading the Almaty team since September 2024, Idman.biz reports.
“Tengrinews” cited the company’s founder Nurlan Smagulov as saying: “We are proud of your victory – this is a major step not only for Kairat but for all Kazakh football. We sincerely wish you further success and are always ready to support the team. We believe Kairat can surprise Europe.”
Additionally, Kairat’s 21-year-old goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov was gifted a MacBook.
Furthermore, Belarusian singer Maks Korjun’s concert, scheduled to be held in Almaty, was canceled due to Kairat’s qualification for the Champions League. The stadium management announced that the arena will soon be prepared for matches.
Kairat will face Real Madrid, Inter, Brugge, Arsenal, Olympiacos, Sporting, Pafos, and Copenhagen in the Champions League group stage, marking their debut in the competition.
