The venue and date for the group stage draw of the 2026 World Cup have been announced.
The event will take place on December 5 in Las Vegas, Idman.biz reports.
The draw will be held in the “Sphere” hall of a city that will not host any matches. The hall, with a capacity of approximately 17,500 spectators, is considered one of the largest complexes in the world. The venue, covering over 50,000 square meters, is equipped with a unique screen.
48 teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup. The tournament, which will be held from June 11 to July 19, will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The reigning world champion is Argentina, who defeated France in a penalty shootout in the 2022 final.
