Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Julio Romao, former Qarabag player and currently playing for Hungary’s Ferencvaros, in an interview with futbolinfo.az.
The Brazilian midfielder spoke about potentially facing Qarabag in the Champions League playoff round. He added that they are first focused on the second leg against Ludogorets in the third qualifying round: “We have a tough match ahead against the Bulgarian club. We drew 0:0 away, and the second match will be at home. First, we will try to defeat them. Only after that can we think about Qarabag.”
When asked if he would be happy to face Qarabag, Romao responded: “First, we have to beat Ludogorets so I can think about that. A difficult away match awaits us. Right now, all my focus is there.”
The midfielder said he has watched Qarabag’s matches in the Champions League: “I have watched Qarabag’s games. They are a good team as always and know how to play in the Champions League. That’s why they manage to get results.”
