Sumgayit signs promising Benin defender

Sumgayit has made a new signing.

Idman.biz, citing Sportinfo.az, reports that the representative of the “Sumgayit” has added Abdul Rashid Moumini to its squad.

The 20-year-old defender, who had attracted interest from several European clubs, signed a three-year contract. The right-back, who played last season at Ayema, chose the Sumgayit option.

Having turned down offers last summer, the Benin national team player made 16 appearances, scored 1 goal, and registered 2 assists. The “Sumgayit” have strengthened with six new players this summer.

These include Pedro Pinto (last club: Petro Luanda, Angola), Aleksa Jankovic (Radnicki, Serbia), Rauf Rustamli (on loan from Sabah), Alexandre Ramalingom (last club: Bnei Sakhnin, Israel), Rayan Senhadji (last club: Fakel, Russia), and Rustam Ahmadzada (last club: Qarabag, on loan at Zira).
