Azerbaijan national team goalkeeper Yusif Imanov has left the club Sabah.
Idman.biz reports that he shared this news on his social media account.
Having proudly represented the Baku team for 9 years since 2016, Imanov stated: "During these years, participating in many matches and being part of this family has been a great experience and valuable milestone for me. However, unfortunately, in the last six months, subjective attitudes and discrimination against me within the club, as well as the lack of suitable conditions, negatively affected my career and especially my development prospects as the young goalkeeper of our national team."
The 23-year-old goalkeeper said that this decision was not easy: "After thoroughly evaluating the situation and considering the treatment I received and the official responses from the club, I decided to unilaterally terminate the current contract. Official correspondence regarding this matter has been ongoing for almost a month, and all legal procedures have been carried out within the law. I thank Sabah for the years I spent here, all the coaches, teammates, and the fans who supported me. Ahead lie new goals, new fields, and a stronger Yusif Imanov!"
