Manchester United rejects Amazon's record-breaking documentary deal

Manchester United turns down Amazon's documentary offer.

The club held secret talks for several months during the second half of last season with the well-known TV network, Idman.biz reports.

According to The Athletic, Amazon proposed to begin filming in the 2025/26 season and planned to give the crew almost full access to the team’s inner environment.

The streaming giant reportedly offered over £10 million for the deal, a record figure among its “All or Nothing” documentary series featuring clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham.

INEOS, the club’s owners, along with United’s commercial department and new CEO Omar Berrada, were reportedly on board, especially considering the club’s current debt of over £700 million and absence from European competitions after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season.

However, negotiations collapsed earlier this summer primarily due to the objections of head coach Ruben Amorim, who expressed concern that filming would disrupt team dynamics and distract players from their main responsibilities.
