Massimiliano Allegri has been appointed as the new head coach of AC Milan.
Earlier media reports suggested that the 57-year-old Italian manager would earn an annual salary of €5 million, with potential bonuses amounting to an additional €2 million, Idman.biz reports.
Allegri previously managed the Rossoneri from 2010 to 2014, leading the team to the Serie A title in the 2010/11 season and securing the Italian Super Cup. His most recent role was at Juventus, where he coached from 2021 to 2024.
AC Milan began the 2024/25 season under Paulo Fonseca but finished in 8th place in Serie A, missing out on European competition. Sérgio Conceição took over as head coach on December 30, 2024. Under his leadership, Milan won the Italian Super Cup but lost to Bologna in the Coppa Italia final.
