Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior has extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2030.
Royal Club has exceeded the annual salary limit of 15 million euros, Idman.biz reports.
24-year-old footballer will reportedly earn more than 20 million euros per year, but less than 30 million euros, under the new contract.
This will make Vinicius the highest-paid footballer, along with French striker Kylian Mbappe. It is emphasized that violating the salary limit may force Real to reconsider its policy, as there is a risk that the club's stars will follow Vinicius' example and ask for a salary increase.
Vinicius' previous contract was scheduled to expire in the summer of 2027.
