Qarabag striker Redon Xhixha has responded to reports that he may leave the club at the end of the current season.
The 26-year-old forward told Report that he still has a valid contract with the Aghdam club, Idman.biz reports.
“I have a contract with this team, and we have to act accordingly. If I have to say it clearly — it’s a pleasure for me to stay at Qarabag. I’m considering remaining with the club,” he said.
Xhixha also spoke about the awards ceremony following Qarabag’s 3-0 victory over Kapaz in Matchday 35 of the Misli Premier League:
“You work and fight all season, and when you finally achieve your goal, it’s an amazing feeling. We are very happy. Becoming champions is a magnificent sensation. We’ve had a great season. Our opponents prepared with special motivation to face us. I believe our successful run will continue in the Champions League.”
Notably, Redon Xhixha — who has previously played for the Albanian national team — joined Qarabag in 2023 from the Albanian club Tirana.
