The Misli Premier League champions, Qarabag, have learned two more of their potential opponents in the UEFA Champions League.
The Azerbaijani champions will enter the competition in the first qualifying round, where eight potential opponents have been identified, Idman.biz reports.
Placed in the seeded pot, Gurban Gurbanov’s team could face Levadia (Estonia) and Dinamo Minsk (Belarus), in addition to previously confirmed unseeded clubs: Kairat (Kazakhstan), Differdange (Luxembourg), Iberia (Georgia), Vikingur (Faroe Islands), Shelbourne (Ireland), and Virtus (San Marino).
It’s worth noting that, as in previous years, a team from a country that gains an extra Champions League berth may also enter, which could affect the draw and potentially involve Qarabağ, currently holding the second-highest coefficient among teams in the first round.
If Qarabağ starts from the second qualifying round, they will again be seeded and in the strong pot.
