Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has written his name into the club’s history books, becoming the first player ever to score two headed goals in one UEFA Champions League match, Idman.Biz reports, citing the OptaJose account on X.
The Frenchman achieved his historic double in the sixth round of the Champions League main stage, where Barcelona defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2–1. In the 50th minute, Kounde redirected a cross from Marcus Rashford into the net while falling. Just three minutes later, he struck again with a precise header into the far corner following a delivery from Lamine Yamal.
This season, Kounde has started all six Champions League matches. In addition to his two goals against Eintracht, he has registered one assist and scored one own goal.
