Gurban Gurbanov has coached his 800th match as head coach of Qarabag.
Idman.biz, citing the official website of the Professional Football League, reports that the milestone coincided with the 13th round of the Misli Premier League.
The home match against Karvan-Yevlax (2:0) marked this special occasion for the experienced coach. Since taking charge of the Aghdam club in the summer of 2008, Gurbanov’s team has achieved 467 wins, 185 draws, and 148 losses. During this period, Qarabag scored 1,375 goals and conceded 631.
Over his 17-year tenure, Gurban Gurbanov’s Qarabag has played 538 matches in the Premier League, 75 in the Azerbaijan Cup, and 187 in European competitions.
It should be noted that Gurbanov made his debut with Qarabag on August 9, 2008. His team won 2-1 in the Premier League match against Bakılı.
