Idman.Biz reports that these words were included in a statement by SPORT TV regarding the renowned commentator’s visit to Azerbaijan.
The channel noted that recently, unfounded reports have circulated in the media about Ertem Sener’s trip to Azerbaijan.
“Ertem Sener, who has a significant reputation in our brotherly country, is also highly appreciated by our football fans. His commentary, as well as his sincere and emotional approach in discussions about Qarabag and Azerbaijan, has attracted the attention of our supporters.
Considering Ertem Sener’s wide audience in Azerbaijan, SPORT TV invited him to Baku ahead of the Qarabag-Chelsea match. Within the framework of his visit, he also appeared as a commentator for Qarabag’s game, initiated by CBC Sport.
Due to high interest in Ertem Sener and positive reactions to his visit, SPORT TV has reached an agreement with him to regularly present Europa League matches with his commentary until the end of the season. This is entirely a SPORT TV business and creative project.
Regarding the claims that Ertem Sener contacted İTV, these reports are completely false. Neither SPORT TV nor Ertem Sener has approached İTV. Information about which games the commentator would cover on television had been shared in advance.
It is regrettable that some social media pages attempted to create unnecessary hype and involve İTV’s name.
We reiterate that Ertem Sener will provide commentary for Europa League matches on SPORT TV, a TVNET platform, until the end of the season,” the statement read.
