Former Tottenham and Nottingham Forest coach Angelos Postecoglou could take over Liverpool if the club decides to part ways with Arne Slot.
Idman.Biz reports, citing TEAMtalk, that the Dutch specialist still has support within Liverpool’s management. The club’s owners admire Postecoglou and consider him a suitable candidate for the head coach role.
Slot took charge of Liverpool in the summer of 2024, leading the Reds to the Premier League title in 2024/25. However, this season Liverpool has suffered nine defeats across all competitions, including a 1:4 loss to PSV in the Champions League.
It is worth noting that Karabakh will face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League in England on 28 January next year.
