Liverpool continues to endure one of the most difficult periods in its history.
As Idman.Biz reports, citing Football on TNT Sports, the team has lost nine of its last twelve matches—the club’s worst streak since November 1953 to January 1954.
In the latest Champions League group stage matchday five, Liverpool lost 1:4 at home to PSV. The English side started strongly, but after Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal, they conceded three times in the second half, suffering a heavy defeat.
Following this game, Liverpool sits 13th in the Champions League overall standings with nine points, while PSV, with eight points, is in 15th place. In the next round on 9 December, Liverpool will travel to face Inter, and PSV will host Atletico Madrid.
