Several members of the Azerbaijan national football team are at risk of missing the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against France.
Idman.Biz, citing sport24.az, reports that six players may not take the field in the upcoming game.
Toral Bayramov, Renat Dadashov, Rəhman Dashdemirov, Abbas Huseynov, Emin Mahmudov, and Rüstəm Ahmadzade are all at risk due to yellow card accumulation. If they receive a yellow card in today’s match against Iceland, they will be suspended for the next game against France.
The Azerbaijan vs Iceland match will kick off today at 21:00. The national team will host France on November 16.
