In a recent track, a French rapper mocked Kylian Mbappe, but not for his football abilities.
According to Idman.biz, last year the Real Madrid forward became the owner of French club FC Caen, but his tenure coincided with the team’s first relegation to the third division in 41 years.
The rapper, a fan of the club, poked fun at this in his song:
"Don’t pretend you love your city, it’s trash. It’s dead, that’s why we call you ‘Cannes.’ There are so many villagers there you can’t even stand. You sank it like Mbappe."
The French forward quickly responded.
"You’re always a welcome guest to ‘save’ the city you love so much. P.S.: This guy begged us to let him join with 1% ownership for free because he doesn’t have a penny, yet wants to keep up the image of a simple guy from Normandy," Mbappe wrote on his X account.
