The national team, which was third in the last two European championships, won a silver medal this time. In 9 matches, the team won 7, played 1 draw and lost 1 time. The chess players of Azerbaijan suffered the only defeat from the European champion Bulgaria. Gunay Mammadzada, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova and Khanim Balajayeva.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team won bronze medals of the European Championship in 1992, 2019 and 2021.
