Eltaj Safarli played rapid chess at the Grand Prix PlusCity tournament held in Linz, Austria.
Azerbaijani grandmaster tested his strength in rapid after the blitz competition, in which he took fourth place, Idman.biz reports.
Safarli took fourth place with 7.5 points from nine games, losing only to the silver and bronze medalists on additional indicators. He was half a point behind the winner - Aleksey Saran (Serbia).
A total of 323 chess players participated in the tournament.
