The FIDE World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad concluded today in Eindhoven, Netherlands, İdman.biz informs.
The event gathered 252 players representing 63 teams from 47 federations. Azerbaijan national team was represented by Read Samadov, Khagan Ahmad, Jahandar Azadaliyev, and Narmin Abdinova.
The team finished the competition in the 12th place. Read Samadov was awarded the gold medal as the highest scorer with 8 points from 9 games in Board 1.
At the awarding ceremony, the national anthem of Azerbaijan was played in honor of Read Samadov.
