Boxing competitions in the framework of the 3rd CIS Games continued today at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
Idman.biz reports that in the semifinals, Azerbaijani boxer Aysel Farajova (46 kg) defeated Uzbekistan's Rukhshonabona Akhadova and advanced to the finals.
Our other boxer Amina Tagi (50 kg) defeated Belarusian Arina Kmita and also secured a ticket to the finals.
Another Azerbaijani boxer Jamila Muradli (54 kg) defeated Adelaida Sadvakassova from Kazakhstan and reached the finals.
In the 60 kg weight category, Ainur Ismailova defeated Furug Sarhaszoda from Tajikistan, and Gulyar Huseynova (48 kg) defeated another representative of Tajikistan, Kumriniso Imomalieva. Both Azerbaijani athletes reached the finals.
In another semifinal match, Azerbaijani athlete Fidan Bakarova (63 kg) defeated Russian Zlata Konovalova.
Thus, six Azerbaijani boxers reached the final of the boxing competition.
The final matches between boxers (women’s) will be held on October 4.
