Agdam’s Qarabag secured a victory over Danish side Copenhagen in the second round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
According to Idman.biz, the match took place at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku, where Gurban Gurbanov’s team won 2:0.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 28th minute through team captain Abdellah Zoubir, while Emmanuel Addai scored the second goal in the 83rd minute.
As a result, Qarabag collected six points from two matches and is among the leaders of the Champions League group stage. The Azerbaijani champions will play their next match away on October 22 against Spain’s Athletic Bilbao.
