Vagif Javadov, a former football player of the Azerbaijan national team, told Idman.biz.
He evaluated the match in which our national team won 2:0 against Estonia in the qualifying round of EURO-2024. The veteran striker said that our players could not hide their excitement during the match: "When we played in our own stadium, we tied with them. The second half was more difficult in this match. We were more comfortable, because we scored goals in the first half. Overall, I think we had problems in terms of the match in the second half. The basic reason for this was the excitement of the players, because everyone wanted to win and this created tension."
Javadov hopes for victory in the next match against Austria: "The team will play in the match in Baku with a better mood and motivation. The Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov is a suitable arena for us. I hope the team will do their best in order to win. Certainly, the fans will also have a great responsibilities in the match against Austria. They should also inspire and support the team."
