USA women's athletics team set world record in Tokyo

The USA women's athletics team won the 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, setting a new world record.

According to Idman.biz, the American runners completed the distance in 3 minutes 16.16 seconds, recording the fastest time in the history of the World Championships.

The Jamaican team finished second with a time of 3:19.22. The bronze medal went to the Netherlands, who crossed the finish line in 3:22.15.

Earlier in the tournament, another world record was set: Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis cleared 6.30 meters in the pole vault, improving his previous record by 1 centimeter. This marks the fourteenth time the athlete has broken his own record.
