Simone Biles dominates ESPYs with two awards

Simone Biles continued her reign as one of the world’s top athletes, taking home two ESPY Awards on Wednesday night at ESPN’s annual awards ceremony celebrating the best in sports.

Idman.biz, citing Reuters, reports that Biles won her second Best Female Athlete award, cementing her status as a dominant force in gymnastics and beyond. She also earned the Best Championship Performance award for her outstanding gold medal victory in the Olympic gymnastics all-around event.

On the men’s side, NBA superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named Best Male Athlete, beating out baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, and New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley. Despite missing out on Best Male Athlete, Barkley had a standout evening, taking home three ESPYs, including the coveted Best NFL Player award.

The ESPYs celebrated incredible achievements across sports, recognizing athletes who have demonstrated excellence and resilience in the past year. Biles’s multiple awards highlight her extraordinary impact on gymnastics and sports as a whole, while Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP season earned him deserved recognition among elite competitors.
