Eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt has marked his 40th birthday with another major milestone in his life, proposing to his longtime partner Kasi Bennett.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the legendary Jamaican sprinter celebrated his 40th birthday on August 21 and popped the question to Bennett during the festivities after 13 years together.
Bolt and Bennett began dating in 2013 but initially kept their relationship away from the public eye. They made their romance public around the time of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which proved to be the final Olympics of Bolt's illustrious career.
The couple have three children: six-year-old daughter Olympia Lightning and five-year-old twin sons Thunder and Saint Leo.
Bolt is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in sporting history. He won eight Olympic gold medals and 11 world championship titles during his career. The Jamaican remains the world-record holder in both the 100m and 200m, having clocked 9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds respectively at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.
He retired from athletics after the 2017 World Championships in London, ending a career in which he dominated global sprinting for nearly a decade.
