Azerbaijan national athletics team representative Ekaterina Sarieva has made a strong start at the European Championships in Birmingham, the UK.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Sarieva recorded a distance of 13.91 metres in the women’s triple jump, setting a new Azerbaijan national record in the event.
The previous national record stood at 13.89 metres and was also held by Sarieva, who set it on July 2, 2023, at the Gusman Kosanov Memorial in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
